Rural Classroom Construction / Donation
At EOS, we love children. We strive to do our small part to give each child an equal opportunity at life. In June/July 2015, we undertook to build three (3) classrooms in Kenya’s Northern frontier, the cradle of mankind – Turkana county. The Turkanas have, for several decades, been marginalized. We believe that education is the key to reshaping a community’s fortunes by empowering a new generation to lift *themselves* out of poverty; most importantly, to reduce their community’s reliance on NGO handouts and make them productive. Classrooms were constructed on a RC-ring foundation supporting RHS columns upon which steel trusses sit. Trusses were pre-fabricated by us in Nairobi. Walling consisting of wire-mesh tied between columns filled with hardcore stone, cemented together on both the inside and outside. Galvanized iron sheets for roofing.

Kenya Commission of Catholic Bishops (KCCB)
EOS Solar has several projects and partnerships that have enabled community building and fostered education, economic empowerment and general well-being. EOS Solar went into partnership with KCCB ( Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops). In 2018 together we spearheaded a change in the national curriculum to include a chapter on Environment: nurturing and awareness. This involvement gathered momentum in the Catholic Church, whereby the Cardinal agreed with EOS Solar and KCCB and a campaign to plant 1 million trees in all 3000 schools countrywide was started May 2019.

Familia Ya Ufariji Children's Home
We donated food stuffs to Familia ya Ufariji Children’s Home (F.Y.U) on the 30th December 2018, the donation was to touch and better the lives of the children at the Home. The Children’s Home has 33 boys who are in various levels of Primary and Secondary Education. Others are in colleges, technical institutions and universities. We were informed by Fr. Julius Gichure Mwangi, the Director that the All the boys are doing well and in good health. They are occupied with schooling and various activities which keep them occupied, creative and well-rounded.
